In the classroom, all apprentices study theories relating to the job tasks important to the trade. Classroom instruction incorporates hands-on training with online lessons that reinforce concepts taught by some of our industry’s leading instructors. Continuing education opportunities and certification courses are also offered.
Apprentices in the 5-year Electrical program train to proficiency in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of various electrical systems on commercial and industrial jobsites. Apprentices in the 3-year Technician program train to proficiency in all the skills required to install, maintain and troubleshoot various low voltage, communication and networking systems.
The Inside Wireman (Electrician) program requires a 5-year commitment to learn all the skills necessary to install and maintain the types of electrical equipment found in commercial and industrial facilities. This could include lighting, power distribution, motors and any other electrical systems that require energy to keep a facility running. The best electrical workers go on to earn an excellent living.
The Telecommunication and Technologies program is a rigorous 3-year commitment that gives apprentices the knowledge and skills they need to install electrical networks and cabling systems for video, voice, data, fire alarms and other low voltage signals. New construction and office spaces are among the jobsites you’ll find yourself on. As you build your skills and advance your career, your earning potential grows.
